Wall and pavilion at Antony, Cornwall Barbara Hepworth Garden, St Ives, Cornwall

Welcome Garden History is now a mainstream academic subject, but the Society has never lost that sense of freshness and discovery with which it was founded nearly 40 years ago, when garden historians were few but linked in friendship by shared pleasure in their subject.

The future of our historic landscapes, parks and gardens is constantly under threat. The Society campaigns actively on their behalf. Join us and help to conserve them for future generations.
