The Trentham Estate: A Contemporary Revival
Michael Walker, Trentham Gardens Manager

70 Cowcross Street: 6.30pm, Wednesday 3 February

Michael Walker will talk about the successful regeneration of Trentham Park, a garden of grand scale recreated with no government or lottery funding. After many years of decline and abuse, a private company, St Modwen Properties, has regenerated the estate to become one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions.
The magnifi cent restored Italian Gardens remain true to Charles Barry’s original Victorian layout and have been replanted with vast iconic perennial schemes designed by Tom Stuart-Smith and Piet Oudolf.
