An Archive of Resources for the Garden Historian
Anyone interested in researching garden history needs information. Traditionally this would come from libraries, records offices, personal archives and archaeological evidence. Although these sources will continue to be valuable, electronic media make many more possibilities available: for example, colour photographs, 360° panoramas, soundtracks of interviews, video clips of landscapes, reconstructions in virtual reality.
As a long-term project, we aim to develop a site which researchers can contribute to as well as draw from - a dynamic, constantly expanding database for historians of the future.
Until this is available, we are providing a simple list of items contributed by users for later incorporation in the database. If you have information you would like to contribute or ideas you would like to discuss, please
contact us. We are also keen to hear from potential sponsors of this facility.
